Garden Expansion 2018
Thanks to the Regional Food System grant from King Conservation District and Seattle Parks and Recreation, we are adding a new 4800sq ft learning garden in 2018.
Food Forest and Foraging Path
We are in the process of planning and designing an open, free foraging path for the west hillside of the Delridge playground. If you have an interest in permaculture, native ethnobotany, or outdoor art this is a great volunteer opportunity.
We offer an after-school class on Thursdays at the Delridge Community Center where we have built a teen program to maintain a small learning garden. We are working with other area garden educators and outdoor organizations to enrich and expand our offerings.
American Legion Post 160
We have been asked to plan and design an edible garden for the grounds of the American Legion Post 160, at Pershing Hall on Alaska, between 35th and Fauntleroy. We are currently looking for an experienced gardener to volunteer as lead for this project. Duties would include design, planning, volunteer coordination and work party planning.
